Damien McAnany is a Certified Permaculture Designer and Landscaper. What sets his landscaping apart from more mainstream ecological landscaping is an extensive use of rainwater harvesting earthworks, a focus on food producing plants, and functional, ecological relationships between elements in the landscape. Damien is also a Certified Arborist and has worked in and taught ecological restoration, both of which help him in his design of food forests. He spent the month of January 2010 at the Jordan Valley Permaculture Project, a demonstration food forest project to aid Palestinian Refugees, where he was helping to design and implement low cost, effective strategies for rainwater harvesting and tree management. He has been studying and working with Permaculture since 2004. Damien works with a number of outstanding professionals in collaboration with Abundant Earth on both landscaping and tree care projects.
